I am looking for Alexander Brown, son of John Brown and Janet Love, born ca.
1831/2 in Pollokshaws. This information comes from his marriage to Rose
McKerrell in 1856. I have been unable to find an Alexander Brown born in
that area, either on Scotlands People or from the Eastwood church registers.

Alexander Brown and Rose McKerrell were married in the Free Church in
Blythswood. My understanding is that this church started just a few years
previous. What other churches were members of the Free Church likely to have
come from? And what other churches were in Pollokshaws during the
1820s/1830s?

Any help is appreciated.
