Hi Ken, have you had a search of www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk which is the
official website of the Scotland's Registry and is a pay by view site. They
have the Old Parish Registers (OPR's) of births and marriages up to 1855 and
registrations of Birth's 1855 to 1908 which can be downloaded Deaths 1855
1958 and Marriages 1855 - 1932. There is an index of birth's and deaths
from 1908 - 2006 but you have to order the certificates and deaths from
1958 - 2006 which you would also have to order. There are census records
for 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891 and 1901. You can also look up Wills
and Testaments.

The costs are 1 point for a look-up or index and 5 points to download the
certificate. The cost is from six pounds upwards for 30 points.
