The family you said, lived on Raasay, it had iron mines and a 1911 pop
of 324. History of the place is possibly corrupted for the WW1 period
because the Brits employed German POWs there on munitions production, in
breach of international conventions.
This not my family. Three wee populated islands nearby form a group with
Raasay. The surnames you quoted don't "click" with my limited knowledge
of the place. There was a man JENKINSon associated with the doings there
of the Ministry of Munitions (of War). He was a senior public servant.
