Very interested in the comments on Culloden. As a Gordon I just found info
that my relatives from scotland were mercenary soldiers. or military. It said
occupation. and then soldier afterward. My aunt said they were same. Is a
mercenary soldier a feasible occupation. Did Scotish mercenaries get paid
much and why were they wanted. I feel to this day a calling of my blood
running fast. Loved soldiers as a boy and could play with them for hours.
Not that I am fierce but would have loved to be at Culloden in my fantasy
that is. The Scotish mercenary soldier is something I really didn t know
was a really legitimate occupation They could sell their services to highest
bidder. They must have been a foritable foe.. Did they wear there clan colors
into battle. The scotish broad sword I have a picture of . At the highland
games they sold little soldiers of the highlander with his broad sword. I
guess the sword weight alot. Rambling .. Don Gordon
