I too am seeking connections for Nicolson's from the Isle of Skye. The furthest back my information goes is to Donald Nicolson and Mary
Lamont (Lamond) in the Bernisdale, Snizort Parish, Isle of Skye. They had at least three children in the 1830s, who all appear in the
1851 Census for Bernisdale along with their widowed mother.
The entry consisted of - Mary Nicolson, head, widow, aged 59
Alexander, son, 24
Donald, son, 19
Marion, daughter 16
Would appreciate contact if this connects with anyone's research.
