I have a McBean family from Inverness - Ann is my gggg grandmother. I doubt
this fits with what you have but I thought it was worth noting.

Ann (Annie) born 1768, Hugh born 1770, Margaret born 1771, and Janet born
1775 - and I have their father as being born about 1740 but I don't have is
first name - All the births were at Inverness, and all the children
emigrated to London, Ontario, Canada where they died.
