Hi All,
I'm trying to trace Matthew McNeill who married Catherine McKenna. Their son Michael, born about 1834 immigrated to Victoria, Australia about 1856. He was a farmer and his death certificate in 1888 revealed his birthplace as Inverness in Scotland. I have located a Catherine McNeil on 1881 Scottish census, Nairn Nairn, Scotland, widow aged 69 born Barra(c1812) with son James unmarried aged 25 born Nairn Nairn, Scotland.
Can't find Matthew and Catherine's marriage or Michael's birth.

Can anyone help?
