Sorry Kate I have searched all the Clan Cameron electronic archives that we
have in NSW Australia in the hope of locating a relative of Alexander
Cameron from Ardnamurchan which is possibly where you are seeking, this is
more a location, as in 'the Lands of Ardnamurchan' 'the Lands of Sunart'
both describe areas not towns. You will find the Ardnamurchan peninsula on
the far west coast on the Northern side of Loch Sunart. I do love the manner
in which it was spelt by the recording clerk....ARDMARRACHAN exactly as I
can hear it being said.

In the 17th Century Camerons spread out from 'Clan Lands' into the areas of
Sunart, Ardnamurchan, Morar and Moidart.....

If you can locate some records of Kilchoan parish you may find him located
there,
