Hi all,

I am a descendent of Mary MacEachern, who left the Isle of Eigg in 1843 with
nine of her 10 children for Cape Breton Island, Canada. She was the widow
of John MacEachern, who died prior to their departure from Eigg. Her
children were Dougald, Hugh, Catherine, Angus, John, Margaret, Ronald,
Roderick, James and Mary. Catherine, who married Angus Campbell, remained
and later immigrated to Ontario, Canada with her family.

I have been unable to learn anything about her or her family prior to their
leaving Eigg. Can anyone shed some light on this family's connection to the
Isle of Eigg?
