I just read your message of McBain Family being your great grandparents. Perhaps you can help me and perhaps we might be talking of the same family. I am looking for the family of Jessie (Jessica McBain) born in Lancaster, Glengarry, Canada in c 1847. Unfortunately, I have not much more to go on. Jessie married a McCormick in Michigan, USA and from her death record I have learned that she was born in Lancaster, Ontario. Her mother and father were listed as unknown on her death record. I do know from census records of her in Michigan that I have learned that her father was born in Scotland and her mother in Canada. I do not know when Jessie McBain went to Michigan, but she married there in 1876.
