Perhaps there is a connection here:

I have a Helen Maggie Morison who was the wife of Dugald Johnston. They were
married 25 Aug. 1869 and she died 25 May 1872, at age 23. She is buried in
Kilnaughton (?) Cemetery, near Port Ellen (I have a photo of the gravestone).
