aoradh is the name of the farm on gruinart flats owned by the royal society
for the protection of birds (rspb) which, if you've been reading your
online ileach, you will have discovered has been granted large quantities
of money by the heritage lottery fund to, amongst other things, dig ditches
on the flats. a non too popular decision unless you happen to be an
employee or a member of the rspb. it is a working farm but with a distinct
bias towards access for 'twitchers' (bird watchers) and creating comfy
roosting areas for the large number of geese we currently have.

the asylum in lochgilphead is for the medical benefit of those with drink
or mental problems.
