Hi Doug;
I also have a Marrion "Sarah" Beaton who was born in Islay in 1851. She always
went by Sarah and the addition of her first name Marrion was quite confusing at
first. I did notice that in the "John Ramsay of Kildalton" book she was listed
as Marrion Sarah Beaton daughter of Neil Beaton and Ann MacEwing. So I am not
certain if Sarah is her middle name or a nickname. I would venture to guess
that it was her middle name , and like we tend to put certain names together
for example Julie Ann or Peggy Sue so did they.
Just a thought, Kimberley Ann
