Toni,
WOW! Thank you so much!! Do you know if Gilbert and Rachel are buried there
as well? I'd looked through the OCFA and had found a possible for them, but
can't remember offhand where it was. Also, Elaine Robinson had sent me
this, but neither of us knew for sure if it referred to this same Gilbert.
Would you happen to know? It seems as if it would be, from the date:
1923 Oct 01 OBIT From the "Georgetown Herald, October 10, 1923; (From:
Robinson): "At the age of 90 years Gilbert
Sinclair, an esteemed and respected citizen, passed away at the home of his
son, Gilbert Sinclair, lot 22 con. 8 Esquesing on Monday October 1st.
Deceased was born in Islay, Scotland, and came to Canada when two years of
age with his parents, three brothers and five sisters. A brother and two
sisters are still living, John of Erin; Margaret, widow of Alexander Scott,
and Christie, widow of James Gibson, also of Erin Township. The funeral
took place from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wm. McKay, Erin, when the
remains were interred in Providence Cemetery."
Thanks a million!
Judy
