A sleepless night got me re-reading the History of Woodville (Victoria
County, Ontario)
and I came across a couple of Islay personalities -
John Morison, born Sept 9, 1818, son of Malcolm Morison. Married Agnes
Seath
in Greenock, and emigrated to Woodville in 1849. Later became an M.P.

Alexander Campbell, who was a minister in Portnahaven, Islay.

If anyone is interested in either of them, let me know.
