Thanks Toni Sinclair for posting the WOODROW records - we're certainly
interested in all things WOODROW.

One of the entries you posted is not our direct line but is intriguing and
I wonder if anyone can throw any further light on it:

> James Paterson Raeburn, of the parish of Ninians and Alicia Woodrow
> Raeburn,12 July, 1842

I presume that the above entry is correct with both surnames being RAEBURN.
The only record I have that would seem to have some connection is from the
'Bowmore Births List' compiled in 1983 by C. G. Booth for the Museum of
Islay:

James RAEBURN born 19 April 1822, son of Robert RAEBURN of Ardlarach,
Surgeon, and Marion WOODROW.

For some time we have been trying unsuccessfully to establish how this
Marion WOODROW fits into the main WOODROW line so we are wondering if there
is someone out there with further information on the 1842 RAEBURN marriage
or the family of Robert RAEBURN and Marion WOODROW.
