hi everyone,
in my ongoing quest to find more of my Gilchrist roots from the Isle of
Islay (my research has been stuck there for almost three years now...), i've
compiled and collated almost twenty pages of material relating to Gilchrists
on Islay.

this is essentially raw data at this point, and i'm just beginning to ponder
my next step, taking this information and creating a large map of the island
to post these notes to.....hopefully this will benefit my research! but as
most of you know, i always like to share my data - so if any of you are
working on the Gilchrist line on Islay (and i know who most of you are!!),
feel free to have a look at this data - and please use it to your benefit as
well....................
