Hi Russ,

I didn't follow up on the idea, because I'm going to be away from about mid
July to mid Aug. However, that doesn't mean that some of you can't still meet,
and I'll join you if I can. If you think that local highland games are a good
venue, here's the list of Ontario
games this summer, with nearby townships or counties, or places with Islay
interest
June 10 Georgetown - ( Boston Mills- Peel, Erin-Welington)
June 17, Fort Erie - (Niagara -no Islay connection that I know of,except for me
45 min /
June 24, Hamilton -
(ibid)
away/
July 1, Embro - (I don't know where that is!)
July 2, Cobourg - Northumberland Co, abt 1 hour south of Fenelon and Eldon
Twps.
July 8, Chatham - southwestern Ont. (no connection)
July 15, Cambridge - Wellington Co.
July 22, Barrie - Simcoe Co. near the Islay villages of Oro, and Jarratt
Corners
July 29 - Kincardine - Bruce, Huron Co. lots of Islay settlers
Aug. 5 - Maxville (I don't know it)
Aug 6 - Montreal, Quebec
Aug. 12 - Fergus - Canada's best games - Wellington Co.
Aug 19 - Sarnia (southwest Ont.)
Aug 26 - Almonte (don't know it)

As I've said before, Highland Games are a good meeting place, because the music
stirs the soul and puts you in a good frame of mind. It will also entertain
other members of
your family who may not be interested in geneology, and who wonder why you are
meeting people you don't even know! (My daughter would fall into that
catagory)
Otherwise a local museum, or cemetery would be a good rendevous.

I'm fairly flexible, and would be happy to try to meet up with any of you,
anywhere, as
long as I'm not on holidays (Islay, here I come!!!) Anyone have any other
suggestions?
Toni
