Yes I like the Landranger 60 map of Islay too. This trip I also
bought Ordnance Survery Pathfinder 425 Bowmore (Islay) and Pathfinder
439 Port Ellen. These maps are 4.50 sterling and a bit pricey if you
want to get all of Islay when they are separated but the detail is
great particularly if you are hiking about.

So many Islay researchers do not seem to have any map let alone a good
map of Islay. I have at least 5 that I refer to and I consider them
the most valuable tools that I as a researcher can have. Give
serious thought to investing in at least one. If you do not know
where you can purchase the Landranger map 60, they are available for
purchase online from at two places that I am aware of:

http://globalgenealogy.com/landrang/landrloc.htm
(Global Genealogy is located in Milton, Ontario - cost in Can $)

http://www.ileach.co.uk/roy/
(C&E Roy is located in Bowmore, Islay - cost in pounds)
