Hi Sandie,
Welcome to the list. I got my copy of "Islay People" from a lady in
Florida, who bought it long ago, when she thought her ancestors came from
Islay. Then she found out they all came from the mainland. I got the book,
she got lunch!

I believe it was compiled by Mr. Gordon Booth for "Argyll Colony Plus",back
in 1986, which appears to be a
support group for the Museum of Islay life, the proceeds for the sale of the
lists going to the Museum . I don't know if they are still active, (does
anyone know?)
If there are any copies available, I think they are the likeliest to have
them.

Can I look someone up for you?
