Hi Helen
I was so hoping that this was our missing Ronald, but thanks again for all the information-I have been going to write and tell you how much I have enjoyed everything you have written about the Gilchrist people.
Also hope that you will continue the news from the Barrie newpapers--that was great.
I am also trying to link my Gilchrists from Islay with those of Dan Woodrow (Hugh--)There must be a link there somewhere. If you are reading this Dan, I am still searching.
Thanks again Helen please keep writing--
Take care---Betty

Hi Betty
This is not much help to you, I'm afraid, but I have finally figured out
that the Ronald Gilchrist that I have recorded in Argyle, Manitoba, cannot
be yours. He was born in 1848 and his father is Colin. At least we can now
eliminate all five Ronalds for whom I have a record.
I'll let you know if I turn up anything else.
Sincerely
Helen
