Hi all

I have just heard from an acquaintance on Islay that the White Hart Hotel in Port Ellen is either newly opened

or is just about to do so !

It hasn't been open for accommocation for several years but it was undergoing extensive renovation when we were there earlier this year.

I think they will have about 18 rooms which is a significant addition to the number of rooms available on Islay.

Thought this might be of special interest to folks who are connected to Duncan McCuaig who established the hotel way back in the 1840s or

so. A lot of history here.
