I have been out of town but on my return I noticed that there had been some
discussions of interest to me. I noticed that Toni Sinclair had made
several postings involving Bell's Curries, Campbells, and even McDougall's.
I have posted to the list before but lets try it again with a little more
information. My GG Grandfather was John Bell born about 1800 married
Margaret Currie born about 1805. They came from somewhere in Argyll and
settled in Brock, Victoria, Ontario in about 1831. They brought two sons
with them
Malcolm b about 1827 married Lucinda O'Herrow
Archibald born about 1830.

While living in Brock they had:
Margaret b 15 April 1834 married Ezra Crary
Mary b 30 August 1835 (my g grandmother married Archibald McDougall)
Neil Currie b 22 March 1841 married Maria Wilber
Duncan b about 1843
Flora b about 1845 married Erastus Rhodes
Donald b 18 August 1846 I think in Belleville, Hastings, Ontario
Katie (Catherine) b 20 Nov 1847

The Family moved to Fond du Lac Wisconsin in 1848

Katie the youngest daughter moved to Rockford Iowa and married a man named
Duncan Campbell Feb 23 1871. Katie and Duncan moved to Ryder, North Dakota
sometime in the 1890s and can be found in the book "People, Places & Events
Minot,
Ward County 100 Years of Magic" published in 1986.

If anyone thinks they may have a connection please contact me. I keep
trying to find information but all I find is dead ends. I would even be
interested to know if anyone had relatives who followed the same paths.

Thanks,

Bill McDougal
