Hi Anne,
The reason I said that I thought that Catherine Clark married Donald
Sinclair later is this:

(Bowmore parish OPR):There is a marriage between Malcom Clark and Cath Clark
on the 5th Sept, 1815. However, Malcom Clark had previously been married to
Margaret Macdougall (1 Feb. 1797). They had a son named Kenneth (Clark)
baptised 28 Jan. 1805. This is the Kenneth Clark who was mentioned in the
Clark chart as "father of Clarks in Sullivan".

Then Catharine Clark married Donald Sinclair on the 5 Sept. 1826, and they
had a son Kenneth (Sinclair) baptised 12 June, 1827.

1841 Census - Duich, Donald Sinclair, ag. lab., 65, Catharine 55 ;
Kenneth Clark, 14. (I don't understand why they called him that!)

1851 Census - Duich. Donald Sinclair, 75, farmer; Catherine 63,
Kenneth 23.

Catharine died 4 May, 1873 at Duich.
Donald and Catharine's son, Kenneth Sinclair married Christina McGibbon on
the 25 Dec, 1855, but he died in 1858 of the measles.

The names, Kenneth and Gilbert, seem to be very prominent in this particular
branch of the Clarks.

Toni Sinclair
