Aye Robert - I do believe you are being a bit of a grouch....I'm sorry you
are offended by the friendliness of this list.

Part of the reason why the SCT-ISLAY list is so extraordinary is that we do
occasionally get off topic and that many of us have become good friends who
will help one another even if the other person is researching someone not
connected with us. Several years ago those beginning friendships led to the
many gatherings around the globe bonding many of us further, and with the
ultimate one now being planned on Islay next year. Those who are
"chitchatting" are the same people who have spent countless hours
investigating and translating and SHARING all those goodies found at Steve
Gilchrist's website. By the way, FYI, Steve is the person who not only is
the webmaster of that wonderful site but was the original now retired
listmaster of the SCT-ISLAY list and if we had to pay him for the hours that
he has invested in this list, he'd be a millionaire.

Personally, if something arrives in my email box that I don't have time for,
I use the DELETE. It only takes a fraction of a second to use.

Cheerio
Sue Visser in Ontario where the sun is shining, the daffodils are blooming
and I'm still fighting to regain use of my leg.

Call me a grouch but I am tired of reading chitchat about the weather and
little ditties in my e mail. Could people please reply only to the sender
of these items instead of helping to fill everyone's mailbox.
