I have a Hector McAllister born in June of 1795 who could be Annie's
father. His brother, Robert, is my ancestor, and he also came to
Ontario.

Hello, I just joined the list. I am trying to assist my aunt in
finding her relatives (to help her for all the help she has given me in
searching for our shared ones) as she has had no luck. Her great
grandfather was a John Cluny McPherson born in 1818. He married an
Annie McAllister born in 1828. I believe this was in Port Ellen. They
came to Canada and settled in the Collingwood, Ontario area where they
had 9 children (Hugh, Charlie, Alexander/Sandy, Neil, Flora, Robert,
Janet, Catherine and Hector). Annie's parents were a Hector McAllister
and a Katherine Wilson. If any of this is ringing a bell with anyone,
please contact me.
