and yet another wee note on settlement around Renfrew Co. Ontario.....

The tombstone of a Malcolm Campbell, who died in 1907 at 81 years of
age, claims to have been
the first white child born in County Renfrew.

This kind of suggests there wasn't much settlement going on in the
county before 1826
