Hi all,
The site Marjorie mentioned has a boat New Swiftsure which left Quebec
for Montreal on Aug. 26, 1819 carrying immigrants who had sailed from
Oban on the Harmony and the Hope. The list includes many possible Islay
names such as Blue, Gilles, McLean, Sinclair, Ferguson, Morrison, etc.
I also noticed another summer 1819 trip up which included several
McCuaigs and McLeods.
Cheers,
Don
