I am searching for the MacKinnon family. Donald Mac Kinnon was born in
Tapull, Isle of Mull Scotland in 1799. His father was Donald born Isle
of Mull, married Sarah Mac Kinnon, she is the daughter of Roderick Mac
Kinnon. His father was Donald Mac Kinnon who married Mary Campbell,
daughter of John Campbell of Dunstaffa. His father was John Mac Kinnon
of Scotland, His father Fagular MacKinnon . Donald (b 1799) married
Catherine Ross, born 1800 Kildary,Rosshire,
Scotland. Both families immigrated to PEI, Canada. They had a farm
outside Charlottetown in Milton, named Torbuck. They are buried in
Brookfield cemetery.
Donald and Catherine's children are; Neil, Isabella, Daniel, John, Jane
Hooper,John Hooper, David, Mary, Malcolm, Roderick, & Sarra Allied
family names are,Bevan, Pepperall, Mac Donald, & Tait. Daniel owned a
carriage & sled factory and his home was known as 'Spring Park' in
Charlottetown.
