This is a general type query. My particular McPhee family left Kintra,
Mull the year following the 1851 Census (very convenient of them), on the
1841 they appear as living at Bra Creich. Would this move have resulted
from the 'clearances'. Living in the colonies as I do there is little
access to information specific to Mull. Could some kind soul give me, and
the others like me, a mini history lesson and also perhaps recommend a book
covering the history of Mull, if such exists, preferably still very much in
print, that way I may have a chance of ordering it through our a library.
