To confuse the issue of a lady named Vear, I enclose the following
inscription from an ancestor's gravestone at Konck on Mull:

Here lies the corps of Colin Vear and Duncan Campbele children to
Donald Campbele son
to Colin Campbele of
Braglein

Donald Campbell was my gggg grandfather. I know precious little about Colin,
but Vear does not appear to be exclusively female! Unless I've missed the
point somewhere.
