· To the memory of NICOL MCINTYRE, late tenant in Ardalanish, who
died 1791, aged 67 years, and MARRION MCLEAN, his wife who died ....
aged 68 years. This stone is placed upon their graves as a token of
esteem and respect by their grateful children, 1827. Also their children
DONALD MCINTYRE, Writer, Glasgow, and DUNCAN MCINTYRE, Esq. of Burg,
Tenant of Ardalanish and Knockvologan. MARY MCLEAN, his wife, and their
children NICOL, NEIL, ALEXANDER, DONALD, the last of whom died January
1893.
I am in possession of a document case with the inscription "From DM to
DM Glasgow 1808, my father said it was Duncan to Donald.
