Still looking for a connection between these 2 families.

1. A family in Scotland: (from a Scotland church CD):

Alexander McDonald married Marion McIntyre on 5 Oct. 1836 at Tyree, Argyll,
Scotland.

i. Alexander McDonald and Marion McIntyre had a male child named Lachlan
McDonald who was christened on 22 Nov. 1837 at Tyree, Argyll, Scotland.

ii. Alexander McDonald and Marion McIntyre had a male child named Ranold
McDonald who was christened on 25 Sept. 1839 at Tyree, Argyll, Scotland.
Alexander was a crofter from Heanish.

iii. Alexander McDonald and Marion McIntyre had a male child named John
McDonald who was christened on 7 Jul. 1841 at Tyree, Argyll, Scotland.
Alexander was a crofter from Heanish.

iv. Alexander McDonald and Marrian McIntyre had a female child named Cirsty
McDonald who was christened on 18 Dec. 1843 at Kilfinichen and Kilvickeon,
Argyll, Scotland. (Note: she could be the daughter of another Alexander and
Marion Macintyre who married at Tiree in 1842).
This family was not on the Tiree 1851 census.

2. A family in Ontario (from family and other research):

Alexander McDonald was born in ~1809 (estimates from 1805 - 1811) in
Scotland. He died on 24 Mar 1883. He was buried in Priceville, Cemetery, ON.

Alexander was married to Sarah (Mar. McIntyre). Sarah was born in ~1810
(estimates 1809 - 1811) in Scotland. She died on 9 Aug 1886. She was buried
in Priceville, Cemetery, ON.

They had the following 4 children:

i. Locklan McDonald was born in `1839 (estimates 1837, 1841 & 1839) in
Scotland. He died on 4 Apr 1861. He was buried in Priceville, Cemetery, ON.

ii. Ronald McDonald was born in ~1842 (estimates 1839, 1843 & 1844) in
Scotland.

iii. John McDonald was born in May ~1843 (estimates 1841 - 1846). He died on
14 Aug 1922 and is buried in the Priceville, Cemetery, ON. In ~1865 he
married Christena McDonald (possibly a cousin) who was born in Tiree and
whose parents were Ronald McDonald and Christena McIntyre.

iv. Christie McDonald was born in ~1846 (1844 & 1848) in Scotland.

The parents and four children came to Canada in 1849 and were in Egremont at
the time of the 1851 census.
