Going back via my personal mail I came upon this one. Have you
corresponded with this Barbara???

I'm hoping (please say yes) you'll have something regarding Mary McLean
Hoff's & my McLeans in your new book. Mary is the one who's researched
our McLeans...

Dear Ida,

I am currently researching the McLEAN family. My gggg-grandparents were
Charles and Margaret (nee McLEAN) MORRISON.
Margaret’s father was Lachlane McLEAN married (1) Mary McILPARDRAIG
(McALPINE) circa June 1771 and (2) Ann McLEOD born
13 Dec.1772, Kilninian, Argyll, Scotland.

Charles and Margaret had 3 daughters and 6 sons one of whom they named
Lauchlane (Lachlan). I received your information from the
"Isle of Mull Family History pages" - Donald McLEAN.

My next challenge is to denitrify Lauchlane McLEAN’s father. Could there
be connection between your Donald and my Lauchlane? For
example brother/cousins.

I will look forward to hearing from you.
