Sorry to spoil the party and stop this supposition by all of you.

I've just checked the actual 1841 Census for Kilfinichen & Kilvickeon on
Mull. In ED 8 pg 2 is the entry for Hugh & Mary McPHAIL and family,
including Flory, at what appears to be "Allrat." I'm afraid that the
Enumerators 'U' looks like 'Al' in a number of entries and his 'r' is
probably a closed up 'v.' However the convincing thing is the fact that it
appears between the entries for Torbeck and Ardvergnish; which is just where
"Ulvalt" is at the head of Loch Scridian.
