In the 1851 Census at Burgh, Donald McDougall and his wife, Flory (Stewart) McDougall had a visitor from Glasgow, a niece, MARY SPROW -- age 6 years.

I think Sprow would be SPROWL and could be spelled SPROUL.

In the IGI there is a MARY SPROWL born Dec. 28, 1843, whose parents are MARY MCCOLL and ROBERT SPROWL.

Do you have any more information such as dates etc. for your McColl/Sprouls? and Mary Stewart?
