Could anyone help me with the following, as to where to find information
on these "Custom House Entry Lists". So far have not been able to
track anything down and some of these people were from the Isle of
Mull.
Query on Ontario, Canada List:
> Can anyone tell me how to find the "Customs House Entry Lists" on the
> Immigrants coming from Greenock to Quebec in 1820/21, then on to the
> Counties of Lanark and Renfrew, Ontario.
>
> According to a book by Robert Lamond, Secretary to Agent "A Narrrative
> of the Rise & Progress of Emigration from the Counties of Lanark and
> Renfrew to the New Settlements in Upper Canada on Government Grant"
he

> l. Form of Application List
> 2. Form of Custom House Entry List
> 3. Abstract of the Emigration Societies from Greenock to Quebec on
> Government Grant 1821.
> According to his book, this entry list gives the names of parents
(plus
> maiden name of mother) children, ages, height, complexion, hair
colour,
>
> occupation, former residence - county and parish, place going to and
for
>

> This information would be invaluable to those of us researching these
> Immigrants.
