I most certainly agree with Robert Darlington, regarding the wonderful services of Dorian Leveque. He promptly responded to my query and is even posting photocopies of pertinent records out to me here in Australia at no charge.

The information he gave was not strictly of Mull concern, so I will not post it here. It concerned Abraham Roebuck, father of the Hannah Roebuck who bore Major Murdoch Maclaine's daughter Jean/Janet/Jane, who married Allan Lamont. If you are interested, send me an email.

I contacted Dorian and was rewarded with very useful missing data on two
ancestral interests, one who worked in the London office of the HEIC and one
who commanded ships of the Country Service in India. I cannot speak too
highly of Dorian's most thorough research conducted without any cmmercial
inyerest.
