Dear Ian
Thanks - unfortunately I live in the Scottish Borders so am unable to pop in
for a browse. I have transferred the data you provided into my family tree
file. It's great to see the picture build up.
Could you have a look for Donald McCormick in the 1901 census. I believe he
died around 1911. He would still be at Catchean then, widower of Ann
McCallum and some of his grandchildren and possibly his mother in law Mary
McCallum may still be living with him in 1901. The grandchildren that may
appear are as follows:
Neil, Dugald, John and Janet McCormick
I wonder if you could have a look up for info on the following in your 1779
census:
Neil McGilvray and his wife Margaret McCormick, Kilfinichen
I only know that they had children
Catherine born about 1770
Alex born about 1774
Mary born about 1776
Ann born about 1777
Also could you look up to see if you have John McGillivray and his wife
Mary, Kilfinichen
They had a son, Duncan born about 1777.
Do you have birth, death, marriage certificates on file as well or only
census returns?
Thanks for all your help
Fiona Boyd
