Hi Mary

I believe you mentioned previously that you descend from Archibald
McArthur & Catherine McLean. Although I can't locate your previous
posting (computer glitch grrr) I seem to remember you mentioned that
Archibald McKinnon & Catherine McArthur were in Burg KLN in 1841. I have
them in Tostary KLN in 1841 (:-))))

Now I'm wondering what appears to be next door to your McKinnon is
another Archibald McArthur & Catherine McLean family who would be much
younger than yours..

Looking in the IGI I found the following children listed with Archibald
McArthur & Catherine McLean as parents in KLN these I've grouped
together by batch and film #'s There could be other not listed in the
IGI but would appear in the OPR's

Catherine Jun 14 1827 this Catherine and Flora Oct 21 1831 appear to be
connected as their appear correct for the census

Tostary 1841 has
McArthur Catherine 45 Cotter, Catherine 13, Flora 10, Peggy/Margaret 9
(husb missing from h/h)
McKinnon Archibald 35 Ag Laborer, Catherine 35, Catherine 4

There is another McArthur family in Tostary which I haven't worked on as
yet. I'll include the census in case someone else connects with them.
McArthur, John 45 Farmer, Mary 75, I presume his mother, Malcolm 40,
Niel/Neil 30, Ann 30, Janet 13, John mos, and Ann McDougall 5

The missing Archibald could very well belong to Mary aged 75.

My question to you is. If you have your Catherine McArthurs siblings
would you mind posting their information to the list as well.
