Hi everyone,
I've just subscribed to the group, so thought I would
post my interests.
My Gt Grandparents were Helen Cowan (b.13/8/1875
Kinloch)& Angus Campbell (b.7/2/1868 Torrans).

Angus's parents were Catherine McEachern/McKechnie
(b.28/7/1829 Assapol) & John Campbell (bc 1826).

Catherines parents were Archibald McEachern (bc1785)&
Christina McEachern (bc 1793). I think they were from
Assapol. Children were Donald,Catherine,Mary,Hector &
Allan. I have recently contacted descendants of Mary &
Donald, & I know a bit of Hector, but Allan is a
mystery-its thought he may have emigrated to NZ or
Aus?

I know that John Campbell had a sister Margaret bc
1836. His marriage cert shows parents as Donald
Campbell & Margaret McGillvray, however death cert has
parents as Donald C & Flora McDonald? So its poss that
Margt died young & Donald remarried? I have John &
Margt at Carsaig in 1861,& both separately in later
census, but nothing earlier & no trace of births.

Helen Cowans parents were Neil Cowan (b 1853) & Sarah
McDonald (b.1855). Neils brothers were Alexander &
Donald. Parents were Janet McFadyean & Donald Cowan.
Have Donalds parents as Hugh McCowan (Blacksmith) &
Ann McFaden, Kilmore & Kilbride.

Hope thats not too much all at once! Would be pleased
to hear from anyone with shared interests or info,
