I do hope you all won't mind this posting going through the list

Thank you for this information I'm seeing some light here. Somehow or
another I think maybe the 2 Duncan McCallum & Catherine Ferguson
families merged into one.. Please note the dates for birth/chrst for the
children. Having children from 1804 to 1836 would sure make me cringe.

Geoff if you know the locations of birth that may also help sort them out.

I'm not sure if Geoffrey McCallum is subscribed here but I'll cc him
this posting as well.

Catherine McCallum.
I have that I found her bapt 16 Aug 1804 Kilfinichen and Kilvickeon on the
www.familysearch.org site. I think I may have tried different spellings - eg
McAllum.
Catherine McCallum married Alexander Wiseman 10 May 1834 at Avondale Lanark.
They raised a family and lived in that vicinity until he died 21 Nov 1887
and she died 25 Oct 1889.
One of their daughters, Helen McLeod Wiseman married William Steel 19 Sep
1862 at Strathhaven Lanark. At least one descendent of this couple emigrated
to Canada and the information on this family came from them via Ken McCallum
[the one in Australia, not the one in USA] Ken has done much more thorough
research than I have.

The rest of Duncan McCallum and Catherine Ferguson emigrated to Australia.
Those who emigrated on the British King are already listed. Two other
daughters, Ann McCallum bapt 29 Oct 1809, and Isabella McCallum bapt 29 Sep
1811 emigrated to Sydney on the Sir John Falstaff in 1841.
