Hi Ida, Thanks for the message. I had more time to read it and realise that
the Mary Currie at Scalastle is too young to be John Currie's wife (Mary
McInnes) as she was born in 1766 and would have been 75 in 1841. I think she
was dead by then as John died in 1828. It is also too old to be the daughter
John and Mary Currie. She is probably related in some way though as my
Curries came from there. Also the Ann Curry information is my family. I have
visited the grave at Pennygown and it's very clearly marked. Right next to
the old chapel ruins. John Macdonald was the son of Angus Macdonald and Ann
McKinnon and was a joiner in Salen. He died in 1857. Charles Macdonald, son
of John and Ann Curry, married Susan McArthur of Ledmore according to
