Hello List
I noticed the Wilson posting from Carole Noden and thought that SKS out there
might be able to find a marriage that I've been looking for for a very long
time:
Jean/Jane Burgess m. Robert Wilson some time in the mid to late 1820s. The
first recorded baptism of a child to them is in Balmaclellan in 1830 (William),
when they were living at Lint Mill of Shirmers. A second son, John, was
baptised at Parton in 1833. At that time they were living at Glenlaggan. They
subsequently moved in 1833/34 to Ruabon, North Wales where Robert became a
shepherd. I have more or less complete information after this. Jean was born in Kells
in 1809 and Robert sometime between 1800 and 1806.
I have checked the scotlandpeoples web site and LDS online but can find no
marriage/banns recorded. I'm sure they did marry since all other family members
are recorded. They might also have had a son, James, before 1830.
Any finds, gratefully received.
