I'm wondering if we have a connection here. My grandmothers father was Arthur Fredrick Herbert Dobson (born in Leeds)whose father was William Elias Dobson. They lived in Wakefield which is near Bradford. The reason I am wondering about the connection is because of the painting. Arthur was a scenic artist and used the stage name Duval. The story in the family is that he painted (repainted?) the ceiling of the Wakefield Opera house. (No proof as of yet) Could your Dobson's be close relatives of mine which could possibly explain why they lived in the area? Thank you for any info you might have. Sincerely, Colleen Gibbs
