Hello to all: This is one of the best lists. I belong to one other and it
is interesting but I really like this list. I will have to unsubscribe a
little later as we will be away for some time.

I have posted this query once and will try again: I am researching TANNOCK
and PORTER, MARGARET who married QUINTIN TANNOCK and they lived in Greenock.

I have a brass plate about 1 3/8" by 2 3/8". It is engraved: "To Mr. ALLAN
CLEUGH in token of his services, from THE LADIES OF THE OLD & St. Thomas Work
Society, Greenock 1861".

ALLAN CLEUGH was my husband's grandfather, ALLAN CLEUGH TANNOCK, and we would
like to know more about the Society if anyone has that information. I thank
you for you assistance,
