Surname: Wilson, McIndoe

I have David WILSON, d. ca. 1842. He was said to be a ship merchant. (exactly
what would that be) His wife was Isabel McIndoe, (or some spelling thereof.)
They had son Hugh Wilson b. Nov. 8, 1803, Paisley. (Perhaps another son
John). Other children unknown.
Can anyone help out with this family? This is all that I know of David
and Isabel. I have further information on Hugh Wilson.
