Hi Corinne,

You should be aware that, when the LDS made their deal with the
Scottish government to extract the Scottish parochial records (i.e.,
pre-1855), they agreed NOT to put that information on-line. Therefore,
if you want the index information (names, date and location) for these
records, you have to go to an LDS Family History Center and use the
"Scottish CD", or use Origins or some other source authorized by the
Scottish government. It is not in the IGI.

I have confirmed this with our local FHC. It is a bummer, but that is
the way it is. It is my experience that a lot of people don't know
this, so I take every opportunity to "butt in" with the info.
