thanks for the reply, but at the moment I do not have a Jane in the family
tree, but that does not mean she is not related. I just have not got all of
the Mathers, only two families, (one is father of the other)

Family 1
Robert Mather married Mary Winter (unsure of date of birth for Robert
but Mary was born on 28 Aug 1800 in Melrose)

Children;
William Mather (my 3 x great grandfather) (b 28 Oct 1831) Melrose
Helen Mather (b 23 Apr 1826) Melrose
Mary Ann Mather (b 22 jun 1828) melrose
John (b 13 Oct 1838) Melrose
James (b 30 Oct 1846) Melrose

Family 2
William Mather (3x great grandfather) married Agnes Lauder in 18 Jan 1856 in
Minto Roxburgh
Children
Alison (b 25 Jun 1857) Bowden
Mary (b 8 Jan 1859) Rachelfield, Berwickshire (outside of Roxburgh) (my
2 great grandmother)
Robert (b 15 Aug 1861) Maxton Roxburgh
Agnes (b 29 May 1864) Earlston Berwickshire
James (b 17 Jul 1868) Ladhope, Roxburgh
Turner Mather (b about 1869 in Melrose, Roxburgh)


These are the only Mathers known to me
