Good evening Bob,
Bo'ness lies just east of Grangemouth on the south bank of the river Forth..
Was until the the 1960's an important coal exporting port ( number of pits
in the area )and a timber importing port as well as a large ship-breaking
yard.
I 19th C was called BORROWSTENESS and is shown as that on older maps . Was
in Linlthgowshire now known as West Lothian.
